Using ASCII data

For the sake of longterm use, all data are in text format, more precisely : ASCII . It is now universal and simple. Binary format is less critical to use ( in most of the case ), after the important progress in hardware, in speed and volume.

Tcl/Tk

TkFab is written in Tcl/Tk. It is one of the first script language such as Perl or Python. It is a bit slower, but its graphical library allows to design almost anything. TkFab doesn't deal well with big data sets, ∼ 200 Mo, but it is agile and there are solutions to come.

Easy to Use

TkFab was designed with less menus as possible, then, it is more suitable for touchscreens, than its competitors. But it is highly adaptable through numerous parameters. TkFab® is a tool for numerical data processing .

TkFab® is unlike any other software, it can be use to make the link between the results of technical software and their rational use, in particular it aims to use spreadsheets to understand or explain clearly those results. A second objective is to include useful engineering and physics functions.
